BARNES Valbonne unveils two young emerging artists on the contemporary art scene

Real Estate & Art de Vivre

02/07/2020

The BARNES concept store in Valbonne, a one-of-a-kind space promoting French art de vivre through an array of services ranging from real estate to vineyards as well as art and classic cars, will be displaying an exhibit by two young contemporary artists until September 2020.

Daniele Milvio and Emil Michael Klein, with the Federico Vavassori Gallery in Milan, will be taking over the space to present some of their emblematic works.

For Daniele Milvio (above works), an Italian graduate of the Milan Fine Arts Academy, the history of humanity holds a fascination. His works take us to the heart of human anatomy seen from his own perspective, with a liberal interpretation of a tooth. This series draws on a Dali-style surrealist approach midway between painting and sculpture, in relief.

Emil Michael Klein (above works), a German artist living and working in Switzerland, meanwhile, will be unveiling two canvas paintings in tribute to the work that goes on in an artist’s studio. The repentance that he expresses through his work demonstrates his desire and his constant efforts to achieve a perfect piece, even though this search opens up an endless horizon.

Behind the exhibition showcasing these emerging artists with the Vavassori Gallery, rewarded in 2019 at the artmonte-carlo art fair by the famous Geneva-based watch brand F.P. Journe, is Heidi Barnes, founder of BARNES Art Advisory, the department dedicated to assisting clients with the management of their art assets. The BARNES Art Advisory team also works with young talents on the contemporary art scene to facilitate networking between experienced and amateur collectors, as part of an approach that brings together art and other assets.
